Schools and Groups

Naomi as a Level 3 Forest School practitioner will deliver regular programmes and bespoke sessions to schools, home educator groups, toddler groups, young adults and families for a minimum of 4 people.

 

Your are welcome to attend your sessions at Exmoor Forest Schools' site near Lynton or Naomi can deliver Forest School in your own grounds.

Offering a wide variety of activities suitable for all ages and educational needs of your group, sessions can even be designed to meet learning outcomes in the National Curriculum giving participants the opportunities to learn in an outdoor environment.

​

Sessions can be half day (3 hours) or whole day (6 hours) and if you have special requirements with plenty of notice EFS will work with you to provide what you require.

What can Forest School sessions do for your children?

​

A Forest School programme is usually carried out over a series of weekly sessions for 2-4 hours over a minimum period of at least 6 weeks, the longer term the provision is made the better the outcomes within the individuals learning and self awareness.​

​​

You will see in your children:

  • Enhancement and growth of their self esteem

  • Relationship building and team working

  • Development in their language & communication skills

  • A fascination with the natural outdoor environment

  • Increase in independence

  • Ability to learn new skills they may never have had/have opportunity for previously

This can be done through activities such as:

​

  • Story telling

  • Woodland play & exploration

  • Insect and bug hunting

  • Collecting & Craft of natural woodland products

  • Shelter/Den building

  • Fire lighting & cooking

  • Whittling sticks

  • Slacklining

  • Woodland jewellery creations 

      and many more activities and games
